Tom McCusker

For more than 30 years, Tom McCusker has trained and competed in different combat arts ranging from boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling and submission grappling.
As a program instructor, Coach McCusker applies his extensive expertise in advanced techniques and instruction during each session, fostering the growth of his students across all martial arts disciplines. Additionally, he has provided training to law enforcement, private military companies, and church security teams.
McCusker is the winner of the 1993 Houston Golden Gloves, 1996 Houston Silver Gloves and has competed in some of the largest submission grappling tournaments in North America. Coach McCusker is currently a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu under Prof. Travis Tooke.
Jillian McCusker
Coach & Owner
Jillian McCusker, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduate, combines her background as a former competitive gymnast and dancer with her current status as a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu. At McCusker MMA, she serves as the assistant coach for the kids’ programs and leads as the head coach of the women’s program, channeling her fervor for self-defense into nurturing and coaching young women with unwavering passion.
Rich McCusker
Tactical Coach & Owner
Rich McCusker is a former Special Operations veteran with combat experience in different venues throughout the world. After serving in the military, he retired as a 21-year veteran of a major metropolitan police department and former SWAT Operator. Rich is a highly respected instructor, having traveled the United States teaching hand to hand combat, knife combat and CQB to military, law enforcement and civilians.
